Ngā kete pūtea
Our funding streams.
Ngā kete pūtea has four funding streams: He Hua, He Kākano, Ka Tupu, and Ka Puāwai. Each funding stream will support projects that innovate, deliver, collaborate, and expand services or projects in the Trust’s catchment area. We are looking to support projects that can demonstrate that they are culturally responsive in the way they engage with the community, the development of their programmes and in their systems and management.
Our He Kākano, Ka Tupu, and Ka Puāwai funding streams are designed to flow from one to the next.
He Hua funding stream is intended to be a one off, for existing partners wishing to try something new, or organisations that are new to SkyCity Auckland Community Trust.

Who can apply?
The SkyCity Auckland Community Trust Deed approves the activities of the Trust in furtherance of Charitable Purposes. In line with this purpose, our eligibility criteria for funding are as follows:
- Applications/proposals for He Hua and He Kākano funding from entities will need to provide a letter of support from an organisation that is registered with Charities Services and is aware of the project that the applicant is seeking funding for. There will be no requirement for entities to have legal status.
- All other proposals will need to be able to demonstrate charitable purposes. This can be an organisation registered with Charities Services, or as an Incorporated Society, Marae, or registered under relevant legislation or a Company with charitable status.
The areas our funding will benefit.
SkyCity Auckland Community Trust funding will support charitable organisations that will benefit people from the Far North through to the Bombay Hills. Support is not given to activities occurring internationally or outside of this area.
In cases where projects are delivered nationally, the Trust may consider partial funding requests for aspects of the project benefiting those residing within the Trust area. You will be asked to demonstrate the programme of work being delivered in our area.
