  • What are the breakfast options available for hotel guests?

    The breakfast restaurant for SkyCity Hotel and The Grand is The Terrace located on Level 7 of The Grand by SkyCity. For current pricing please visit The Terrace. There are other breakfast options at SkyCity. Please check with our team at check-in as to which restaurants are serving during your stay.

  • What is the check-in and check-out time?

    Guaranteed check-in time starts from 3pm and check-out time is 11am.

  • Can I please have an early check in or late check out?

    We would be more than happy to note an early check-in request against your booking; however as a request this is subject to availability and cannot be confirmed until arrival. To guarantee an early check-in you would be required to book the night prior to your arrival date.

    We can offer you a late check-out on complimentary basis up to midday. However, a check-out after midday would be available at a surcharge of NZ$30.00 including GST per hour basis up to 3pm. After 3pm a full night's accommodation charge will be applicable.

  • Does SkyCity Hotel have a swimming pool?

    SkyCity Hotel does not have a swimming pool. The Grand by SkyCity has a heated lap pool, spa and sauna.

  • Can I leave my bags in storage after check-out?

    Yes, we can arrange baggage storage post check-out at the concierge’s desk without any charge. Please contact the concierge team after check-out.

    SkyCity Auckland is a large entertainment destination and if you're staying in one of our hotels you'll find that you can charge some of your experiences with us to your room key card and pay at the end of your stay. That includes the Federal Street dining precinct, Sky Tower admissions and treatments at East Day Spa.

Dining

  • Does the booking include free parking?

    SkyCity does not offer free parking when you dine. We offer discounted parking rates at $8 for the first hour and $4 for every hour after, if you spend a minimum of $40 at any of the outlets. You will be required to get your parking ticket validated from the restaurant reception in order to get the discounted rates. You can find out more about our parking options here.

  • Is valet parking available when I dine?

    Valet parking is available at SkyCity Hotel and The Grand Hotel on the day of dining for $60 as per hotel charges. For alternative car parking options please click here.

  • Can we bring a cake with us?

    Unfortunately not, but we'd be delighted to make one for you. Please call us on (+64) 09 363 6000 at least 72 hours in advance of your booking and our award-winning Pastry Team at SUCRE will create something absolutely delicious within your budget. Only cakes purchased from us can be served in our restaurants.

  • Is your meat Halal?

    While most of our meat suppliers are Halal certified, all meat preparation is completed in a SkyCity central kitchen so we cannot guarantee that meat is Halal.

  • If a group has a person celebrating a birthday, does the birthday person eat for free?

    No, unfortunately not.

  • What is age restriction?

    You must be aged 20 years or older to enter the Gaming areas at SkyCity Auckland.

  • What is your smoking policy?

    In December 2004, amendments were made to the Smoke-free Environments Act 1990 and smoking has been banned in all indoor spaces in New Zealand hospitality venues. This means people can no longer smoke inside places such as bars, gaming venues, clubs, hotel rooms, and restaurants.

    At SkyCity Auckland we comply with the Smoke-free Environments Act 1990 and Ministry of Health Guidelines for smoking balconies.

    Smoking customers are still welcome at SkyCity and we have Twelve outdoor balconies for those wishing to smoke during their visit.

  • What is the dress code?

    At SkyCity, we are proud to provide you with a world-class environment to enjoy. We require a neat and tidy standard of dress at all times.

    The following items are not appropriate:

      • Torn or damaged clothing (except fashionably distressed items)
      • Dirty clothing or footwear
      • Safety or trade clothing (eg safety vests)
      • Sleeveless tops on men
      • Gang patches or insignia
      • Hats or caps (except for religious or medical reasons or within the Poker Zone)
      • Sunglasses (except within the Poker Zone)

    SkyCity reserves the right to refuse entry where patrons are not appropriately dressed.

  • What form of identification is considered valid?

    SkyCity accepts the below as form of identification:

      • A current New Zealand or overseas passport
      • A current New Zealand driver licence
      • A current Hospitality Association (HANZ) 18+ or Kiwi Access card
      • Any other current ID with a photo, date of birth, and which is the product of a government institution.

    SkyCity may require additional forms of identification under the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering Financing of Terrorism Act 2009.

  • How can I sign up for Premier Rewards?

    Signing up to Premier Rewards is free. Provided you are over the age of 20 and not excluded from entering SkyCity's premises you can sign up at the Premier Rewards Station at the Casino.

  • I have concerns about a friend or family member, how do I stop them visiting?

    At SkyCity there are two ways to control your gambling: Self-identified exclusion and Third Party Exclusion. You can either call and speak to our Host Responsibility on 09 363 6000, or if you are at the Casino, please visit the Security desk or speak to one of our security team. More information can be found here.

    You must be aged 20 years or older to sign up to Premier Rewards Programme. SkyCity is a responsible host. If you wish to discuss your Gaming, please talk to a SkyCity staff member or call the Gaming Helpline on 0800 654 655. Children under the age of 14 years must not be left alone at SkyCity. Parking

  • What are your casual parking rates?

    The casual rate for parking is $8 for 0-30 minutes, $16 for the first hour and $8 every hour after. The maximum parking charge per day (up to 24 hours) is $48.

  • Can we use our Premier Rewards for parking?

    Yes, if you have sufficient Premier Points or a car parking credit accrued on your card. Your Premier Rewards card can be swiped at the parking machines to exit.

    Please note, some car parking credits are required to be activated at a Premier Rewards Kiosk before redemption.

  • What are the Early Bird parking rates?

    Monday–Friday $16.50 entry between 6am and 10am and exit between 3pm and 7pm, on the same day (single entry and exit).

    Standard casual rates apply to the entire parking stay if entering/exiting outside these times.

  • What is the height restriction for the car parks?

    The maximum height for vehicles in SkyCity Main Site car park is 2.1 metres and in SkyCity Grand Hotel car park is 2.1 metres.

  • Is parking inclusive with accommodation?

    Some hotel packages or offers include parking, please check your confirmation for what is included in your booking.

    Parking options:

    • Valet parking is available at a charge of NZ$60.00 per night for unlimited car retrievals.
    • Self parking is available at a charge of NZ$35.00 per exit, a minimum of NZ$35 per day
    • Short-term hotel guest parking (five hours or less) is available, please see the hotel Concierge for Super Saver parking rates.
