FAQs

• Do I need a booking?

  Due the size & nature of the bar, bookings are recommended to ensure that you have a table secured.

• Do you have a cancellation policy?

  We ask that any cancellation to your reservation be made no less than 24 hours prior. Any cancellations after this period will incur a $40 per person cancellation fee.

• Is there a minimum spend?

  A minimum spend of $40 per person is required to enter SkyBar, with the only exception being to those who have purchased a Sky Tower ticket or have a restaurant reservation at The Sugar Club or Orbit 360˚ Dining. Booking online requires credit card to confirm your reservation, however, will not be charged unless in relation to our cancellation policy.

• What if I have a restaurant reservation at Orbit 360 Dining or The Sugar Club?

  We would love you to join us at SkyBar for a pre or post dinner drink. Refer to your restaurant booking confirmation email for a link to reserve a seat. Our friendly staff will be more than happy to assist you with your booking.

• What if I have a tower ticket?

  Access to the SkyBar is included in your Sky Tower ticket admission during Sky Tower operating hours. Please show your ticket to bar staff on level 50. Please be aware that a separate SkyBar booking will be required after 5pm and the $40 per person minimum spend will apply.

• Is SkyBar age restricted?

  SkyBar is a beverage experience intended for a mature market. Welcoming guests aged 18 and over only.

  Approved ID (photocopy/screenshot are not valid):
  Any current passport / A current New Zealand driver licence / A Hospitality NZ 18+ Card / A Kiwi Access Card.

• Is there a dress code?

  At SkyBar, we are proud to provide you with an inviting environment to enjoy. To ensue all guests, receive the same opulent experience, we require a neat and tidy standard of dress at all times. SkyCity reserves the right to refuse entry where patrons are not appropriately dressed.

• Is access to the Sky Tower observation level included as part of my reservation?

  Access to SkyBar is included with adult Sky Tower tickets. If you would like access to the Sky Tower observation level without the purchase of an adult Sky Tower ticket, an additional $10 per person surcharge will apply. Please contact our team to arrange.

• Do you have a credit card surcharge?

  Yes, a credit card, contactless and online payment surcharge of 1.8% will apply.

  The surcharge is set at a level which assist us to recover some of the merchant fee costs charged to us by banks and credit card companies. Payments using cash or debit cards (contactless is chargeable) are not affected. If you have any questions about the surcharge, please talk directly with the Duty Manager. We appreciate your understanding.
