We were overwhelmed by the number of entries — Auckland, you're so talented!

We're busy bringing the winning designs to life. SkyCity will reveal the sign on Friday 15 May, so keep an eye on SkyCity Auckland and The Breeze social channels for coverage.

You're invited to come and see the winning designs in person from midday Friday 15 May. The sign will be on display for three weeks, until Friday 8 June, when the letters will return to their base gold colour — ready for the next installation or special occasion.

With so many fantastic entries, we've also created a large banner to hang above the AUCKLAND sign, showcasing some of the artwork that didn't make it onto a letter. We truly appreciate the time and creativity so many of you put in.

Where can I see the winning designs?+

The winning designs will be on display on the AUCKLAND sign underneath the Sky Tower from midday Friday 15 May until 8 June 2026.

Will all designs be shown online?+

No. But there were so many great designs that a banner has been created to display many of the entries. This will hang close to the AUCKLAND sign.

Terms & Conditions

The Designed by Auckland competition closed at 8.00am on Friday 8 May 2026. Winning designs will be professionally produced and displayed at SkyCity Auckland under the Sky Tower from Friday 15 May until Monday 8 June 2026.
