The perfect place to drop in and refuel. It's chef Al Brown's place and reflects perfectly his attitude towards food: in season, beautifully cooked, to be enjoyed with friends.
Most of the cooking is over charcoal or hard wood so there's a real succulence to the flavours. Order a selection of small plates and pass them round. Try the freshly shucked oysters. Then there’s the wine list - small, but perfectly formed, with many of Al's top picks.

Getting a table
Depot has gone back to its roots and will only be doing walk ins, we run a wait list once we are full. Larger groups of 4 or more are subject to a one bill policy.

What are your casual parking rates?
The casual rate for parking is $8 for 0-30 minutes, $16 for the first hour and $8 every hour after. The maximum parking charge per day (up to 24 hours) is $48.

Do you have a credit card surcharge?
Yes, a credit card, contactless and online payment surcharge of 1.8% will apply.
The surcharge is set at a level which assist us to recover some of the merchant fee costs charged to us by banks and credit card companies. Payments using cash or debit cards (contactless is chargeable) are not affected. If you have any questions about the surcharge, please talk directly with the Duty Manager. We appreciate your understanding.

Is your meat Halal?
While most of our meat suppliers are Halal certified, all meat preparation is completed in a SkyCity central kitchen so we cannot guarantee that meat is Halal.

Can we bring a cake with us?
Unfortunately not, but we'd be delighted to make one for you. Please call us on (+64) 09 363 6000 at least 72 hours in advance of your booking and our award-winning Pastry Team at SUCRE will create something absolutely delicious within your budget. Only cakes purchased from us can be served in our restaurants.

If a group has a person celebrating a birthday, does the birthday person eat for free?
No, unfortunately not.

Are you open on public holidays?
Yes, we are open on public holidays and will be adding a 15% surcharge on to your bill. Thanks for your understanding. Applicable holidays include New Year's Day, 2nd January, Auckland Anniversary, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Queen's Birthday, Matariki, Labour Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day.
