Ikebana Ladies Lunch

Ikebana Ladies Lunch

The art of flowers meets the art of food

Friday 27 February | 12–2pm | MASU

Welcome the Japanese cherry blossom season with an afternoon of artistry, elegance, and exquisite flavours.

Hosted by Chef Nic Watt and celebrated florist Chikako, join us for a hands-on experience in the ancient Japanese art of ikebana – a centuries-old practice that transforms flowers into an artform.

Start with a glass of bubbles on arrival, then create your own stunning fresh floral arrangement, followed by a signature three-course lunch. It's the perfect excuse to gather your favourite people for a ladies lunch worth celebrating.

The Art of Ikebana

Ikebana is more than floral arrangement - it's a philosophy of harmony, balance, and mindful simplicity. You'll learn to see beauty in asymmetry, to honour empty space, and to create arrangements that capture a fleeting moment in nature.

Under the guidance of celebrated florist Chikako, you'll create your own stunning arrangement to take home - a beautiful reminder of this special afternoon.
