SkyCity Exclusion
What does SkyCity Exclusion mean?
A senior SkyCity staff member will invite you to a brief meeting where you will be given the option to self-exclude. If you say no, you will be advised that SkyCity has decided to exclude you for two years. Your details will be recorded and your photograph taken. You will also be told about the re-entry conditions you must meet before you can return.
You will be issued with an exclusion order prohibiting you from the gaming areas of all SkyCity operated premises in New Zealand (Auckland, Queenstown and Hamilton) for two years and until you meet re-entry conditions.
Re-entry conditions
Re-entry conditions are: no Requirement to Leave and Not Enter Premises (RTLP) and/or trespass notices, plus written proof of having completed a minimum of 6 counselling sessions with a problem gambling treatment provider. Re-entry is not guaranteed.
Key information
- Once issued, the exclusion order cannot be cancelled or changed to a Self-Identified Exclusion
- Entering gaming areas during exclusion may result in a fine from the Department of Internal Affairs
- Continued attempts to enter may result in a Police charge of trespass
- SkyCity Exclusion prohibits you from gaming areas and bars and restaurants within those areas at Auckland and Hamilton; at Queenstown you are prohibited from the whole facility
