Self-Identified Exclusion
What does Self-Identified Exclusion mean?
You can choose to come to SkyCity for a brief meeting with the Host Responsibility team, or complete the Self-Identified Exclusion Application Form and return it to the address at the end of the form or email it to hostresponsibility@skycity.co.nz.
You will need to include: a copy of your photo identification, a recent photograph of yourself, and the completed application form.
If you complete the process in person, your details will be recorded and your photograph taken. You will be encouraged to nominate a mentor and to select a counselling service. You may choose exclusion for 3, 6, 9, 12 or 24 months.
You will be issued with an exclusion order prohibiting you from the gaming areas of all SkyCity operated premises in New Zealand (Auckland, Queenstown and Hamilton) for up to two years and until you meet the re-entry conditions.
Re-entry conditions
Re-entry conditions are: no Requirement to Leave and Not Enter Premises (RTLP) and/or trespass notices being in force. If you have met these conditions and wish to return, complete a re-entry application form and submit it to SkyCity. Re-entry is not guaranteed.
Key information
- Once issued, the exclusion order cannot be cancelled
- Entering gaming areas during exclusion may result in a fine from the Department of Internal Affairs
- Continued attempts to enter may result in a Police charge of trespass
- Self-Identified Exclusion prohibits you from gaming areas and any bars and restaurants within those areas at Auckland and Hamilton; at Queenstown you are prohibited from the whole facility
