Gusto at the Grand (pronounced guh-stoh) is a rustic Italian restaurant showcasing simple food, classic flavours and fresh seasonal ingredients. Gusto is the perfect spot to share delicious Italian dishes amongst friends and family. Enjoy a European-influenced or cooked to order à la carte portions for breakfast and a simple and fresh menu for lunch or dinner.


Breakfast – from 7am, $25pp. A la carte available Monday to Thursday and Buffet Friday to Sunday. On Monday 26th October, we will be serving a Buffet breakfast with extended hours from 7am -11am

  • Does the booking include free parking?

    SkyCity does not offer free parking when you dine. We offer discounted parking rates at $7.00 for the first hour and $3.50 for every hour after, if you spend a minimum of $40.00 at any of the outlets. You will be required to get your parking ticket validated from the restaurant reception in order to get the discounted rates.   • What are your casual parking rates?

    The casual rate for parking is $8.00 for 0-30 minutes, $15.00 for the first hour and $5.50 every hour after. The maximum parking charge per day (up to 24 hours) is $48.00.

  • Is valet parking available when I dine?

    Valet parking is available at SkyCity Hotel and The Grand Hotel on the day of dining for $55 as per hotel charges. For alternative car parking options please click here.

  • Can we use our Premier Rewards for parking?

    Yes, if you have sufficient Premier Points or a car parking credit accrued on your card. Your Premier Rewards card can be swiped at the parking machines to exit.

    Please note, some car parking credits are required to be activated at a Premier Rewards Kiosk before redemption.

  • Can we bring a cake with us?

    Unfortunately not, but we'd be delighted to make one for you. Please call us on (+64) 09 363 6000 at least 48 hours in advance of your booking and we'll create something absolutely delicious within your budget. Only cakes purchased from us can be served in our restaurants.

  • Is your meat Halal?

    While most of our meat suppliers are Halal certified, all meat preparation is completed in a SkyCity central kitchen so we cannot guarantee that meat is Halal.

  • If a group has a person celebrating a birthday, does the birthday person eat for free?

    No, unfortunately not.

  • Are you open on public holidays?

    Yes, we are open on public holidays and will be adding a 15% surcharge on to your bill. Thanks for your understanding. Applicable holidays include New years Day, 2nd January, Auckland Anniversary Day, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Queen’s birthday, Labour Day, Boxing Day, and excludes Christmas Day.
