Thrill Coaster VR Experience

Experience the thrill of soaring high above the city with sweeping skyline views in every direction. Buckle up for the Thrill Coaster, an immersive VR roller-coaster experience that wraps around the Sky Tower, delivering heart-pounding altitude and cinematic thrills at the very top of Auckland’s most iconic landmark.

Still keen for more? Add on additional VR rides and take your pick from a deep dive into the world of bottle-nosed dolphins in the Dolphins of the Reef VR Experience, or walk with dinosaurs in the Dinosaur Evolution VR Experience.

Sky Tower Theatre — access through the Gift Shop. Open daily, 10am–7:15pm.

Ticket pricing

• 1 Ride — $15 per person
• 2 Rides — $25 per person

*Ride ticket does not include Sky Tower admission.

Height & age requirements

• Must be 0.9m (35 inches) or taller
• Children aged 13 and under must be accompanied by an adult
• Some guests may be unable to participate due to pre-existing health conditions
