FAQs

• Do I need a booking?

  Due the size & nature of the bar, bookings are recommended to ensure that you have a table secured.

• Do you have a cancellation policy?

  We ask that any cancellation to your reservation be made no less than 24 hours prior. Any cancellations after this period will incur a $40 per person cancellation fee.

• Do I need to purchase a ticket to access to the bar?

  Please note no ticket is required to visit SkyBar. Simply check in at our reception at the base of the elevators.

  Access to the Observation Deck on Level 51 is not included and requires a separate ticket purchase.

  If you have purchased a Sky Tower ticket, please go to the tower ticketing counter 45 to 60 minutes prior to your booking time and present your booking confirmation email.

  Check the current daily opening times to avoid disappointment.

• What if I have a restaurant reservation at Orbit 360 Dining?

  We would love you to join us at SkyBar for a pre or post dinner drink. Refer to your restaurant booking confirmation email for a link to reserve a seat. Our friendly staff will be more than happy to assist you with your booking.

• What if I have a tower ticket?

  Please show your ticket to bar staff on level 50. Please be aware that a separate SkyBar booking will be required after 5pm or we have limited walk-in seating available.

• Is SkyBar age restricted?

  SkyBar is a beverage experience intended for a mature market. Welcoming guests aged 18 and over only.

  Approved ID (photocopy/screenshot are not valid):
  Any current passport / A current New Zealand driver licence / A Hospitality NZ 18+ Card / A Kiwi Access Card.

• Is there a dress code?

  At SkyBar, we are proud to provide you with an inviting environment to enjoy. To ensue all guests, receive the same opulent experience, we require a neat and tidy standard of dress at all times. SkyCity reserves the right to refuse entry where patrons are not appropriately dressed.

• Is access to the Sky Tower observation level included as part of my reservation?

  Access to SkyBar is included with adult Sky Tower tickets.

  If you would like access to the SkyTower Main Observation with your SkyBar reservation, please contact our team to arrange a discounted ticket.

• Do you have a credit card surcharge?

  Yes, a credit card, contactless and online payment surcharge of 1.8% will apply.

  The surcharge is set at a level which assist us to recover some of the merchant fee costs charged to us by banks and credit card companies. Payments using cash or debit cards (contactless is chargeable) are not affected. If you have any questions about the surcharge, please talk directly with the Duty Manager. We appreciate your understanding.
