FAQs

  • Do you have a cancellation policy?

    We ask that any cancellation to your reservation be made no less than 24 hours prior. For no shows or late cancellations, you will be subject to a fee of $50 per person that will be applied to the credit card on file. Cake orders which have been prepaid for will not be refunded if cancelled no less than 24 hours prior.

  • Does the booking include free parking?

    SkyCity does not offer free parking when you dine. We offer discounted parking rates at $8 for the first hour and $4 for every hour after, if you spend a minimum of $40 at any of the outlets. You will be required to get your parking ticket validated from the restaurant reception in order to get the discounted rates. You can find out more about our parking options here.

  • What are your casual parking rates?

    The casual rate for parking is $8 for 0-30 minutes, $16 for the first hour and $8 every hour after. The maximum parking charge per day (up to 24 hours) is $48.

  • Is valet parking available when I dine?

    Valet parking is available at SkyCity Hotel and The Grand Hotel on the day of dining for $60 as per hotel charges. For alternative car parking options please click here.

  • Can we use our Premier Rewards for parking?

    Yes, if you have sufficient Premier Points or a car parking credit accrued on your card. Your Premier Rewards card can be swiped at the parking machines to exit.

    Please note, some car parking credits are required to be activated at a Premier Rewards Kiosk before redemption.

  • Do you have a credit card surcharge?

    Yes, a credit card, contactless and online payment surcharge of 1.8% will apply.

    The surcharge is set at a level which assist us to recover some of the merchant fee costs charged to us by banks and credit card companies. Payments using cash or debit cards (contactless is chargeable) are not affected. If you have any questions about the surcharge, please talk directly with the Duty Manager. We appreciate your understanding.

  • Can we bring a cake with us? - Orbit

    Orbit 360° Restaurant does allow guests to bring their own cakes provided; The cake marks a significant occasion (birthdays, anniversary), guests cannot bring a cake to the restaurant as a replacement for an Orbit menu dessert.

    The person bringing the cake is also the person making the booking (and has provided Orbit 360 with their full contact details.) A waiver form will be required to be signed upon entry. This person also knows/understands; the ingredients and food allergens in the cake, the shelf life and storage requirements of the cake, that Orbit cannot store outside cakes in the fridge or freezer (ice creams not recommended as Orbit cannot store them), and that cakes stored at ambient temperature will need to be consumed within 2 hours. A $30.00 cakeage fee applies for all outside cakes brought into Orbit, this fee will be added to the table bill prior to payment. Orbit 360 Restaurant environment does contain food allergens and traces of food allergens which may potentially contaminate plates and utensils used when serving the cake.

  • Is your meat Halal?

    While most of our meat suppliers are Halal certified, all meat preparation is completed in a SkyCity central kitchen so we cannot guarantee that meat is Halal.

  • If a group has a person celebrating a birthday, does the birthday person eat for free?

    No, unfortunately not.

  • Are you open on public holidays?

    Yes, we are open on public holidays and will be adding a 15% surcharge on to your bill. Thanks for your understanding. Applicable holidays include New Year's Day, 2nd January, Auckland Anniversary, Waitangi Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Anzac Day, Queen's Birthday, Matariki, Labour Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day.

  • Is access to the Sky Tower observation level included as part of my reservation?

    No, access to the Sky Tower observation level is not included as part of your reservation. An additional $10 per person surcharge will apply for additional Tower access. Please contact our team to arrange.
