MASU Unleashed at Weta Workshop
Friday 27 August, 5.30-9.30pm
Weta Workshop Event Space
Take a highly acclaimed chef, along with his team and stewards of great calibre from MASU restaurant in the Skycity Federal Street precinct and throw them into the world of imagination that is Weta Workshop Unleashed. This unique attraction is Federal Street’s newest resident, a whimsically fictitious factory inspired by Wellington’s Weta Workshop that brings to life the creative work that goes behind its successful films and is chock-full of film special effects that New Zealander’s have come to admire. Come with an open mind (and a hungry belly), as all is not what it seems...
What you will get is a world where flavours, fantasy, and reality collide. Part film set and part creative workshop, step into this fantastical world where your evening begins outside the vaulted doors of Weta Workshop Unleashed. A guide will lead you through the experience which will include appetisers designed by chef and restaurateur Nic Watt (MASU) along the way. Hold onto them firmly as you meander, as there might be something lurking in the shadows…
When you arrive at the final film set, a Weta inspired four- course dinner awaits. Chef Nic Watt has conjured up a menu with expertly matched wines that will push the boundaries of creativity and is sprinkled with that extra touch of Weta wizardry.
Tours start from 5.30pm
